How to Protect your mental health.

Free resources to help guide you through the corona virus.

With so much overwhelm, anxiety and panic now is the perfect time to PRESS PAUSE and TAKE STOCK of your life. You may find yourself with more time (no commuting, self-isolation, working from home etc) so let’s use it wisely.

Instead of jumping online or switching between Stan and Netflix (don't get me wrong, I’m a big fan) turn your attention inwards. We need to keep a fine balance between our inner state of wellbeing and the external world now there is so much noise in it.

The world is wakening to a new paradigm and its scary, filled with uncertainty and this naturally brings fear. Our brains are on survival mode and our bodies are holding this tension in many different ways. It’s like crouching behind a bush praying the T-Rex doesn’t sense you.

We don’t know how long we are going to stay in this fight or flight survival mode but I do know we aren’t designed to live like this for very long. If we do there will be negative repercussions for our health, as well our kids.

I believe we urgently need to cultivate some inner stillness and peace. A still mind calms the body and nervous system, even if it is just for a few minutes. Five minutes twice times a day is a step towards keeping your mental health in check.

So I suggest we start a daily practice of COCOONING. Why cocooning? It’s a far nicer and more conscious way of self-isolating!

I’m going to help you tame your reptilian brain, step away from fear and feel more grounded. Building up your resilience muscles and stepping into a greater state of acceptance will help keep stress at bay and protect your mental health.

So feel free to use these resources, I’m going to keep them simple. I’ll be adding new material every few days. Please share them with your friends and family. We are all in this together.

Please follow and like my Instagram and Facebook pages to keep informed of new material.

Keep safe, be kind and remember, this too shall pass!
